Cloves are the flower buds of the tree Syzygium aromaticum
Cloves are used as a spice due to its distinct flavor and aroma. It is used in curries, marinades and also pairs well with fruits and vegetables. It is one of the spices in Pumpkin spice and in the Speculoos mix. It is also used to add flavor in sweetmeats in India and Pakistan. Due to its warm and comforting flavor, it is added in a lot of warm drinks during the winter. Cloves are rich in antioxidants and Manganese. Due to its high content of Manganese, it promotes brain function and bone health. Clove is also a much used spice to get relief from tooth pain and other dental ailments.
